A BEING IS NOT A "SELF", IT IS A POWER GREATER THAN "SELF" THAT CAN AFFECT CAUSE WHEN CONSCIOUSLY CONNECTED TO IT. THE SELF IS A MANIFESTATION OF THE BELIEFS IT UPHOLDS. ADDICTION IN ALL ITS MANIFESTATIONS IS THE EFFECT OF ANY BELIEF OF SELF WHICH DEFEATING IN NATURE.

The Application of Auto-Suggestion
A point to be kept in mind is the fact that, just as electricity will turn the wheels of industry and serve mankind in a million other ways, or snuff out life if wrongly applied, so will this principle of Auto-suggestion otherwise known as the Law of Attraction, shall lead you up the mountain-side of peace and prosperity, or down into the valley of misery and poverty, according to the application you make of it.
